Sydney, 7 December 2021 - Australian-based Fast 100 data company CT4 has joined forces with global lifelong learning platform and ASX-listed OpenLearning to upskill tech staff as a key platform of its global expansion plans.

CT4 staff will undertake training through OpenLearning’s industry-aligned micro-credential program CS101 to learn fundamentals of computer science.

CT4 CEO Craig Adams said the scale of technological change was bringing a large demand for skilled jobs in areas such as software and data analytics.

“Our staff are our greatest asset, so in order for our people and our company to thrive as we grow throughout Australia and internationally, investment in the best technology education and training is paramount,” Mr Adams said.
“We are very pleased to partner with OpenLearning, to fast-track our people’s problem solving, programming and computational thinking skills in order to become future leaders in the technology sector,’’ he said.

OpenLearning Founder and CEO, Adam Brimo, said CS101 followed a socially constructive approach to education with activity and project-based learning, strong community of practice and scaffolded content to enable trainees to develop their computer science skills regardless of their background.

“CS101 is collaboration between experienced computer scientists, learning designers and leading tech companies to up-skill working professionals with in-depth knowledge and skills in computer science.
“The program teaches people the fundamentals of computer science such as computational thinking, complex problem solving, programming, data science, algorithms, cyber security and cloud computing,’’ he said.
